"When it's you versus today, the Word of God gives you verses for today."
Some days come at you. Anxiety. Fear. Grief. Anger. Doubt. Loneliness. The day stands across from you like a thing to be wrestled.
This site is a small companion for those days. Choose what you're facing, and an old verse will meet you — drawn from scripture that has carried the faithful for thousands of years.
The verse you receive can be shared by link. Every day brings a new "verse of the day" — the same one for everyone, drawn from the day itself.
Verses Today is the daily reading companion to We Be Verses Today, the YouTube channel from Jeff and Helen. It started as a little verse app called Draw Swords and grew into this site. Whatever today brings, you're not facing it alone.
Translations available are all in the public domain: King James Version (1611), American Standard Version (1901), World English Bible, and Bible in Basic English.
